Life & Childhood

  • Daisy is 5′ 6½” (1.69 m) tall
  • Father Philip is Scottish and mother Wendy is from Northern Ireland.
  • Daisy’s middle name is Jessica (revelead in her BFF Test for BuzzFeed with Sebastian Stan!)
  • Daisy loves the sound of someone eating crisps!
  • If she could have stepped into the shoes of anyone of her choosing for a day, she would have chosen Frida Kahlo.
  • When asked about women she looks up to, Daisy answered her mom, brilliant writers like Bernadine Evaristo and other young actors like Florence Pugh and Saoirse Fan (who she states she’s a big fan of)
  • Her first childhood ambition was to become a dairy farmer, and she would call it Daisy’s Dairy Farm. Later she wanted to become a lawyer, before eventually landing on acting.
  • Daisy had title roles in school productions of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan
  • Daisy won a local ice-dancing competition at age 7, dressed as Macavity from Cats.
  • Daisy attended a private school and a state sixth-form college where she got decent grades at A-level.
  • During Covid-19 lockdown, Daisy lost herself in Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You and books such as Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing.

Career Related

  • When she was nominated in the Best Actress category at the 2021 BAFTA TV Awards which was live and showed the stars direct from home, Daisy had a minor technical issue just before her category was announced as her laptop died.
  • Daisy has the following accents listed as skills on her resume: RP (Native), American (California, New York, Southern States), Irish (Northern, Southern), Scottish (Standard), West Country, Yorkshire
  • Daisy has Guitar, Singing (General), Modern Dance and swimming listed as skills on her resume.
  • She was once a part of BBC Radio 3 Drama’s “The Sorrows of Young Werther” radio play, as the character Lotte. The drama was directed by Emma Harding.
